So much for Anthropic being the “ethical one”. They’re building a “pre-crime” surveillance system to monitor anti-AI activists. That’ll definitely reassure the public about AI.
2. AI Giants Work Hand-in-Hand With the Pentagon, Contracts Reveal
See also: every frontier AI lab is working hand in hand with the Pentagon on military applications. Including making sure LLMs won’t “refuse to do what was requested by the military”. Alignment means aligning with the client, it seems.
The EU wants to eliminate cookie banners and let your browser signal if you want to be tracked or not. The tracking industry is lobbying hard against it. Looks like they’ve grown attached to it after years of lobbying against.
This is the collateral damage you get when the Trump administration goes after websites it doesn’t like. You might be next.
